The International Housewares Association (IHA) and the Inspired Home Show have announced the global winners of its Global Innovation Awards (gia) 2022 Top Window Awards program to honor homeware retailers for their unique and impactful window displays

Announced during a presentation at IHA’s Connect FALL virtual educational event and the Inspired Home Show earlier this week, retailer Habitare Loja & Atelier from Portugal was honored in the small business category while retailers Bahne – Regina from Denmark and Harrods Ltd from the UK won in the large business category.

“The most recent gia Top Window Awards competition received entries from 10 countries, and it’s incredibly encouraging to see the creativity and passion that retailers are putting into their windows,” said Derek Miller, President and CEO of the IHA. “We look forward to welcoming all three gia Top Window Award winners to The Inspired Home Show in Chicago, along with over 30 additional retailers who have won other gia competitions nationally,”

The gia Top Window Award is a special awards program under the aegis of the IHA gia. As with the general gia Retail Awards, the Top Window competition is structured at two levels, national and global. The Global Jury is made up of four experts – Anne Kong, Scott Kohno, Henrik Peter Reisby Nielsen and Wolfgang Gruschwitz – who all rated home and houseware displays from around the world based on originality and creativity. , presentation of goods and professionalism.

The gia program was created by IHA and The Inspired Home Show to drive innovation and excellence in home and homeware retail across the world. Since the launch of gia in 2000, there have been nearly 500 winners of the gia retail award from 50 countries on six continents.
